N1–N6: Engineering mechanics Students interested in pursuing careers as Fitters, Turners, or Motor/Diesel Mechanics can apply for N1 through N3, which also acts as an entry level for those wishing to pursue a National N-Diploma. You can enrol for the N4–N6 certificates after completing your N1–N3 requirements. To be eligible, you must complete two years of practical experience in your respective sector after completing your N4–N6 courses.
